Hunt returns from training and takes over the U.S. Marshal office in Denver, and finds a large stack of complaints that need to be handled. First, Hunt sends two good men, Jed and Earl to New Mexico to track down bank robbers. Then he sends three Marshals to the mines to handle three robbers that have the miners pinned down with gunfire. Hunt assigns two men to intercept an angry rancher that has organized a posse to track down cattle thieves, and Hunt wants to make sure they don't lynch innocent people in the process. Hunt sends two men to Utah to settle down a community that has gone crazy with gunfire and fighting after the sheriff has been found murdered. Three men break out of prison that were sentenced after Hunt captured them, and are coming to Denver to kill Hunt. Hunt receives permission to add two new U.S. Deputy Marshals and recruits two men that most feel are very unlikely candidates.

The Hunt series just continue to get better. Mr. W.L. Cox has a vivid imagination and conveys his story in a believable and fascinating manner. I found myself so engrossed that I completely tuned out my surrounding distractions. These stories will keep the reader transfixed and will find himself living a part of the adventure sharing the hair-raising clashes with the bad guys. The books seem to fly by. I am already on book number X. I have got to slow down or I will run out of great reading material. All I can say is... MORE, MORE, MORE. Get busy Mr. Cox. Need more adventures with Hunt and Storm Warrior.Product details

Pretty much like all of the Hunt series... Well written, will keep reading them.. Already on #9...
I love these stories and can hardly wait for the next one!!! I also love the "Storm Warrior" stories, I keep checking for the next ones anticipating their content.
good western novel that follows marshall Hunt through his career with 10 or twelve books. Nice fun shoot-em-up stories where the villain always gets it 'in the end'
Good but needs more excitement.
Every book in the series is very good except for III. It missed the mark. The series flows and should be read in order. It is a continueing story which builds on the previous events. By the time of book VI, the events and circumstances are different but the outcome is the same. Even knowing the ending, it is worth the read.
